There are two ways you can submit your photo(s) to the Mammut Photo Contest 2025:
You can upload your photo(s) in one or more of the five categories on mammutphotocontest.com between May 15, 2025, and midnight CEST (Central European Summer Time) on July 15, 2025. We recommend submitting well before the deadline to avoid any issues caused by high upload volumes.
You can submit your photo(s) on Instagram in the category “Check-In Early” by tagging @mammut, using the hashtag #mammutphotocontest, and including “Check-In Early” in the caption of a public profile post between May 15, 2025, and midnight CEST (Central European Summer Time) on June 15, 2025

Yes, as long as the photo meets the technical requirements outlined under “Photo Files/Format for Submission.” Only basic editing is permitted. Final decisions on eligibility rest with the Mammut Photo Contest judges, and their decisions are final.
Your image must be at least 12 megapixels. To calculate megapixels, multiply the width and height in pixels and divide by one million.
Example: 4288 × 2848 pixels = 12.2 megapixels.
You can also check in Photoshop: open the file and press ⌘+Option+I (Mac) or Ctrl+Alt+I (Windows).
Picture size = dimensions in pixels (e.g., 4032 × 3024).
File size = how much storage space the image takes up (e.g., 12MB).
Use JPG format to reduce file size while keeping resolution. All submitted photos must be under 15MB, but maintain their original resolution (minimum 12MP). Keep your original RAW or final TIFF/JPEG files.
Possible reason: Your camera may not be set to shoot at full resolution.
Cropping in post-production might reduce the image below 12MP.
Always check your export settings before submitting.
Submissions under 12MP will be disqualified.
No. Upscaling in Photoshop or other software does not meet the quality standard. Photos must be originally captured at 12MP or higher.
No. Please convert all files to JPG for submission. However, finalists must provide the original RAW or TIFF files at 300dpi. For mobile images, the original, unaltered file will be required.
Use your camera’s software or a RAW editor like Adobe Photoshop:
Open your RAW file.
Set Color Space to Adobe RGB.
Set Bit Depth to 8-bit.
Choose a size between 12–24.5MP (e.g., 2731 × 4096 pixels).
Save as JPG under 15MB.
Check the following:
File format must be JPG.
File size must be under 15MB.
File may be damaged—try opening it locally.
