Smaller then expected

"It’s probably a really good shoe…it’s gotta fit though :) I’m a solid 9 in Men’s and ordered it in 9. 5 and it’s too tight. It’s very hard to get in. Even if I were to order 10 or 10. 5 I doubt I would comfortably get in. The top part of the boot is that tight. Once I was on it fit length-wise but is very tight even though that I have a narrow and small foot for a guy. Now I’m stuck with the shoe due to the return policy and need to figure out what to do. Darn"

Seems like a great boot

"I really liked these boots. They’re very comfortable, provide great ankle support, and work perfectly with Grivel crampons. Unfortunately, I have a very specific foot shape — very narrow ankles combined with a higher instep. Because of that, there isn’t quite enough volume over the top of the foot to achieve a proper fit. Sizing up helped with the volume, but then the flex points ended up in the wrong place. I wish they were about 10% more accommodating in overall foot volume — that would make them perfect for me."

Great boots so far

"I've only used these boots for one season of some winter mountain hiking so far, no ice climbing, so will update this once I've had the chance to climb in them. . . but so far, so great. My first foray was an 8. 5mi day in the White Mountains, and they were incredibly comfortable, sure-footed, and I didn't feel the need to put crampons on until we were on very steep snow. Crampons felt very secure on some low-angle ice, and kicking some steps into snow, and I think that it they'll climb nicely. My second time out with them was a 12mi day elsewhere in the Whites, and again they performed very well. I did get a hot spot in a strange spot near the base of where the tongue splits from the boot, but I think I just tightened the laces differently from the last time. They're very comfortable, and the weight (or lack thereof) is great."

All black

"Please bring the all black version back, the one you had a couple of years ago, fully blacked out"

Top of the build

"Those boots are the best i ever had. Extreme durability and lightweight. I was a Ecco and Tenson lover till i found Mammut, Excellent!"
