"The construction of the jacket is top notch. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the jacket does indeed have pit zips for ventilation, though every review I read complained about the lack of them. I haven't been able to test the weather resistance but based on the "feel" of the jacket, I believe it is up to the task!"

"I love the amount of pockets included on this jacket. when glove liners inevitably get wet, all it takes is a simple switch with the two internal chest pockets (one with dry liners and the other for drying out liners). Not to mention this whole jacket feels bulletproof, all the zippers are large and rugged. This jacket also stops all forms of wind and precipitation in its tracks!"
"The Eiger Nordwand Pro HS is, in my opinion, one of the most refined mountaineering jackets on the market. The attention to detail is exceptional, and the craftsmanship is truly top-tier. It has quickly become my favorite technical outer layer for serious alpine conditions. Some reviewers mention a “lack” of pockets, but for a true mountaineering shell, the design makes complete sense. The four large chest pockets are well-placed, easily accessible while wearing a harness, and more than sufficient for the intended use case. This jacket is purpose-built for the mountains — and it performs exactly as a high-end mountaineering piece should. For me, it’s the best jacket you can take into demanding alpine environments."
