I really love this belay

"I really love this belay device. Very smooth and easy to take and give slack once you get used to it. The one pet peeve I have with it is that it feels very weird when lowering someone."

Well Made, No Complaints

"I have only used this for top roping, and it has held up well so far. It is a super simple design, but it does its job quite well."

My favorite sport climbing belay device

"This has become my favorite because it's the right mix of safety and speed. It blocks better than some similar but smaller devices, yet also feeds so quickly. Super light weight. Also the carabiner is one of the best designs for the purpose of preventing cross-loading."

Good belaying device

"It does what it claims: auto-blocks, easy to handle, safe to belay with."

— Kata (5/5)

Counter Intuitive, hard to intruct to new people.

"Grabed this in hopes of giving it to my belay partner who was inexperienced, after tinkering around with it myself, I found it rather difficult to use in a safe manner without a lot of experience. Furthermore, when I went to climb the wall and had others instructing my belly partner on how to use this device, they were unable to help due to the unpopular nature of this product. With enough experience, this thing actually is rather nice for an easy belay experience, but I'd rather either go with grigri or an ATC, this thing just makes for a weird middle ground. I wouldn't recommend taking it in any Alpine setting. The carabiner is nice though 👍"
