Extreme warm commute jacket
"am 180cm, 95kg, and the Size XL fits me perfectly. It has enough room for layers without feeling like a tent, and the articulation is spot on.
I originally bought this to survive Montreal's harshest winter days. To give you a reference, I own a Burton [ak] Expedition Down Jacket (800 fill), and this Mammut Parka completely destroys it. The loft on this thing is insane—it visually towers over my 800-fill gear. You can immediately feel the difference of the 900+ cuin down and the box-wall baffle construction; there are absolutely zero cold spots.
Is it overkill for a city commute? 100%. But when you are standing still waiting for a bus in -35°C windchill, you feel invincible. Since I run hot, I can only wear a t-shirt underneath, or I’ll start sweating within minutes of walking.
If you are looking for the "final boss" of down jackets, this is it. 10/10."
