Going to retire my 8 year old pair for these guys
"I have a pair that I’m just now wearing out after hiking a few states on the AT, CO, WY, MT and now the Black Hills ( hey there are some nasty spots here). I can say with 100% certainly these boots have prevented 6 broken ankles and two would-be catastrophic falls on Mt. Elbert. It’s a heck of a compliment to the brand that has prevented hiking accidents. Not to mention I wear these in the OR as well and they have prevented countless slips on water, blood and people bits.
The only reason why I’m giving up my first set is the tread is wearing way down."

"Often overpriced, but I got them half off. I like to carry them most of the way up the mountain so it really helps that they are lighter than almost any other alternative. Have not tested the durability yet."

"It's the second pair that I bought. The first pair last about 4 years, mostly used in winter time. Very good grip at rocky and steep terrain, very stable at snow conditions, fits perfectly with semi fast crampons. Good support at the ankle area and with heavy backpack. Lightweight. For summer conditions maybe there are not comfortable. But in general a very good and decent choice for multi demanding terrain."
