  • A Mammut yellow climbing rope with red patterns is draped over large, brown rocks during a mountaineering expedition.
  • Several colorful Mammut climbing ropes with different patterns lie on a grid background. Some ends are frayed, showing signs of wear and frequent use.

Thinnest and safest dual rated rope

"This new technology is amazing. It has allowed Mammut to create a proven cut resistant climbing rope and the thinnest and safest dual-rated rope on the market. As true experts in textile engineering going back a very long time, Mammut makes exceptional ropes. The sheath is very smooth and runs through belay devices and your hands so nicely. I really like the bright colors of the sheath as well. This rope will be well loved for years to come."

Great rope for glacier climbs

"Great rope for glacier climbs - Its lightweight, robust with Core Protect and its quite smooth & knots well. I love the color contrast with the snow as well"

"Great handling rope for alpine climbing."

The peace of mind of

"The peace of mind of coreprotect is worth the extra money. 8mm is great. Feels great, works great."

— Patrick W. (5/5)

Super cordes twin

Mammut Core Protect 8. 0

"Awesome! Supple, knot well, feed well, not too stretchy but provide a nice catch. Love the added security of the core protect. Super happy with these ropes."

— Shane R. (5/5)

Superb ropes

"Great ropes, only used on one six pitch climb so far but an absolute delight to belay with! None of the usual new rope stiffness after the first pitch, meant we could concentrate entirely on climbing and not worry about rope management!!!"

— Aaron (5/5)

Mammut ropes are my go-to

"Mammut ropes are my go-to as a climbing instructor and guide on Mt Rainier and Baker in Washington state. The flexibility, strength, and core protection offer an added level of protection in the mountains. Not to mention they are lightweight and colors stand out in contrast with the snow. Beginner or expert, this is a great rope to take into the mountains."

Lightweight, strong and subtle rope

"Great rope for shorter alone objectives and also our glacier travel rope. Wish I'd give with the longer length to have more applications but the weight savings are fear"
