Great upgrade from the original Barryvox
"I upgraded from the original Barryvox, and so far I’m really impressed. The Barryvox 2 is lighter and sleeker than its predecessor, and I appreciate that it runs on just two AAA batteries instead of three. The Bluetooth connectivity is another nice improvement, making it easy to update the firmware through the Mammut app. What I like most is how simple and intuitive it is to use. The controls are straightforward, the display is easy to read, and the search functions are easy to learn and practice with. It has all the features I need without feeling overly complicated. It also feels well-built, and the compact design makes it comfortable to carry. Overall, a great upgrade and an excellent beacon for anyone looking for something reliable and user-friendly."
Barryvox 2
"No he tenido nunca un arva, si es de la marca Mammut todo es bueno por eso lo he comprado porque puedes practicar con el con escenarios diferentes para aprender a usarlo con la Aplicación de Mammut. Pero hay que añadir a la Aplicación mas Idiomas, eso se les ha olvidado o no les interesa a los de Mammut."
Barryvox 2 stands out for
"Barryvox 2 stands out for its compact and lightweight design. The use of only two batteries significantly reduces both size and weight, which makes a noticeable difference during long days in the backcountry. The app support is also very convenient, allowing easy configuration and management of the device. Overall, it offers a well-balanced combination of performance and usability."
Great
"Used before, happy with it"
Well thought out beacon
"You can tell how much thought went into this beacon right out of the box. Rubber on the sides for grip, simple and clean UI, easy to switch from search and track, well thought out and comfortable chest harness, simple software updates via an app. This beacon works perfectly, and would be great for someone new to the backcountry or industry professional. Wondering why I didn't buy this sooner really."
Head Coach Ski Team
"Safety is always our top concern as ski coaches. As we venture into steeper and more challenging terrain, the potential of avalanches increases. Leaning about being safe in this terrain and now, having the appropriate gear, will make our adventures and experiences just that much better. The Barryvox 2 is a game changer."
Don't settle for anything less
"Mammut transceivers have always been my go to. Impressive search range, ease of use and reliability makes them an outstanding brand. Highly recommend this for all. I like the new updates to design/ease of use compared to the V1 version."
Defective product, poor customer service
"The Barryvox was defective out of the box, issuing a warning/error message upon activation roughly 75% of the time. Multiple reinstallations of the firmware didn’t fix the issue. Customer service has not addressed the issue in almost a week. Initial guidance included shipping the defective unit back to Mammut, for up to 15 days, in the middle of ski season, which is obviously not a reasonable solution. There are several other reputable manufacturers of these devices. I would not recommend anyone purchase one of these from Mammut."
