Reviews

Works as expected, good package deal

"Some people have complained of the shorter probe length but as a novice backcountry user I haven’t had issues nor did my instructor mention the length when I did my rescue course. The beacon is easy to use. The probe locking mechanism is a little tricky to remember the first couple times but I think that’s pretty common."

"I’m incredibly satisfied with my mammut avalanche package. The shovel is large enough I feel like I can dig quickly without being so large the scoops are too heavy. The probe is study and can be deployed quickly. The barryvox beacon is great for what I use it for. I’m consistently among the fastest in my group I do beacon drills with—partly due to the amount I practice, but also due to the quality of the barryvox beacon."

— Clayton S. (5/5)

Quality

"The beacon is fast, the shovel is sturdy and the probe doesn’t have a cable that will fray easily."
