Excellent All-Purpose Rope

"I largely purchased this rope for the dual-pattern. The pattern change is very clear and the colors stay the same, so it’s still obviously identifiable on dual rope rappels. However, after testing this rope out a couple of times on single and multi-pitch trad climbs i actually find one of its biggest strengths is the handling. It has a good amount of stretch for soft catches but not so much that the climber sinks substantially during a take."

My go-to sport climbing rope!

"This is my favorite climbing rope! The duodess center is a must when climbing longer routes, plus the bright color is so nice! It is a universal rope that does the job well!"

Light and good handling

"The double ropes are perfect, pack small, lightweight and really like the colours certainly no confusion even in low light conditions. They were good to handle and without kinks from first use"

Great Rope!

"Love this rope. Right out of the box it is smooth and easy to handle with no kinking. The bi-pattern makes it easy to set up for rappel and the colors are bright, vibrant and fun! I purchased the 70m and it doesn't feel heavy at all. Great overall rope, I'm looking forward to many sends, falls and everything in between!"

Pretty, Handles Well, Stretches a LOT

"Rope handles great, and the bipattern color is a major upgrade from just having a middle mark. There’s a lot of dynamic stretch - nice for soft catches, but take care on the first couple bolts so that your climber doesn’t deck."

"Très belle corde. Elle a exactement l'épaisseur qu'il nous faut. Elle est un peu glissante, mais ça s'améliorera avec l'usage. Je lui donne 4 sur 5, car la description indique « orange/lavande », mais en réalité, elle tire plutôt vers le rose/lavande."

Great rope with great extras

"This is a great light, smooth handling workhorse rope for all the pitches. I primarily use it for trad multipitch, as well as local single pitch sport, and never thought about getting any other rope. I almost switched to Trango agility 9. 1 red flag (solely for the red flag, but just be safe!), but I love a little bit extra durability for more complete freedom to wander on/off routes and flake ropes directly on to ledges with greater piece of mind to the ropes wear and toughness in the 9. 5. Mammut is top tier. I mean, extra transparency with the tests they put their ropes through. I’ve owned this rope for 4 years now. Granted, my biggest volume climbing year was the year prior to purchase and I know I could probably squeak another year out of my 4 year rope. I’m about to re-up and will have 0 regrets buying again. This rope, with 4 years of wear and dirt, even performs well in both forms of rope-soloing."

This is my 3rd Duodess

"I love these so much that it is now the only rope I buy. Having the duodess pattern makes finding the middle of the rope so easy for rappelling, coiling, etc."
