"I got this jacket for ice climbing as my belay jacket and it has performed just as I had hoped. It has nice big dump pockets for switching your gloves out between climbs, and of course the double zipper for belaying comfortably. The face fabric has some durability to it which I like and although it is not waterproof it has a DWR finish that works great at keeping the jacket pretty dry. It is designed well to fit over your harness without having to size up. I am 5' 6" and 170 lbs and I got a medium."

Hi there, this jacket is probably more suited to 6000m. For you 8000m+ you would require something a little warmer.
