A nice upgrade

"I have been using the Barryvox 1 for the past 3 years and it’s been incredible. I recently moved and wanted to leave the first package at home for when I visit. Naturally I bought the updated package and it does not disappoint. The shovel and probe are great but generally underwhelming, the real star is the beacon. The Barryvox 2 is all the good parts of the first one and none of the bad. I love the larger controls and the slimmer design. It’s very accurate in training scenarios and easy to flag multiple burials. Luckily I haven’t had to use it in a real life situation but the whole package assembles quickly in practice."

The best pack for touring protection

"Known across the industry as the best beacon option for those starting to tour, the barryvox is fantastic. The pack includes a solid shovel and probe combo, everything you need to get started on some back country adventures."

I gave this score because

"I gave this score because the package is super reliable and easy to use, which is exactly what you want in avalanche gear. The beacon is intuitive, the probe and shovel feel durable, and everything packs well for touring. It gives me a lot of confidence in the backcountry knowing I have gear I can trust. Overall, great value for a complete safety setup."

A great package for starting

"A great package for starting my backcountry winter adventures. Bought before my first AIARE course and it was convenient to have everything I needed in one box. The beacon is incredibly intuitive and works great - gives me the confidence I need. Its so important to have a product you trust in avy conditions and I can definitely trust my Mammut beacon & gear."

best beacon ive used

"The barryvox is top tear when it comes to avalanche safety devices. they really nailed it with this one especially. I love that you can connect your phone and update software on the fly. It's nice only needing 2 AAAs and not 3. It's super easy to use and follow directions that it gives off. Has a strong signal and have never had any issues when practicing burials. Would highly recommend this set up to anyone heading into the backcountry!"

Great.

"I've had it on a couple of backcountry adventures. It's very intuitive and easy to use when practicing. This does give me confidence that one day when I might need it it'll be a life saver."

I purchased kit for protection

"I purchased kit for protection past the gates on resorts. The kit was super convenient , and the beacon was easy to operate and use. My hubby and a friend also purchased. I do wish the shovel was lighter! I'll be purchasing a lighter shovel for backcountry riding and using this one for winter camping or to have in the vehicle. I try my all to keep my riding backpack as light as I can. THE BCA Dozer shovel is . 96 lbs"
