Excellent jacket!

"Love this jacket. Was a bit thrown off initially due to the sizing. I bought a medium instead of a large as I’ve tried on a Mammut Alto Guide jacket in large and it just felt too big. By the sizing guide, I'm a large. It is a bit snug around the waist but fits so well everywhere else. I can easily have my base layer and Mammut Tais fleece underneath with a bit of room to spare. It's pretty lightweight, packs down and seems to be pretty rugged. I was able to shrug off an absolute downpour in the Alps, no worries. I have full faith in it to continue brushing off even the foulest of weather. It is an expensive jacket, but it seems to be completely worth it in my opinion."

After about a dozen Cascade

"After about a dozen Cascade volcano climbs and a few dozen ski tours with this jacket I feel confident that it'll be my perfered shell for a long time. I keep it for alpine climbing and touring only; I prefer a wrist (pass) pocket in the resort. I feel like a size up for layering is the right call, my partner has one and say's that's the case for the women's as well. Looks sharp too, it is more of a "skier cut" than a snowboard style, in case you like that longer baggy look."

"Ga al 35 jaar dagelijks met de fiets naar het werk en dit is nu mijn derde jas van mammut van deze soort. Hij is licht, perfect waterdicht en het belangrijkste winddicht. Hierdoor kan ik met een licht mammut fleece jasje het koudste weer aan. De kap kan makkelijk over de fietshelm. Naast het fietsen gebruik ik de jas om te wandelen. Voor mij is dit soort jas de juiste aankoop en gezien het dagelijks gebruik en levensduur een verantwoorde aankoop"

Mammut Crater Pro HS Hooded Jacket in a snowstorm

"Great jacket for a snowstorm! Ordered it for a whistler trip. Wore this with a puffer and the Light ML hooded jacket. Both kept me warm and dry in windy and snowy conditions. The pockets of the jacket give you a lot of space but can be hard to open with gloves on."

Amazing water and wind proofing

"I absolutely love this jacket, it’s functional and kept me dry in some really bad rain recently. It’s high wind proofing means even though it is a shell it does keep you surprisingly warm. It looks great too even if just wearing it causally! I would definitely recommend."
