VERY warm, but WAY TO HEAVY!

"It takes a lot of space to carry it in a hiking kit, even compressed, and it is very heavy. It will keep you warm for sure. Goose down is the way to go...."

Warm and snug in NZ winter

"Went on a month long camping trip in NZ (June-July) with this guy in my bag and kept me warm as I could want. Whether in a DOC hut or a small 2 man tent, or even "cowboy camping" it. (Just watch out for those mischievous brushtails) Granted coldest it got was only a few negative C's. At which point I would be most comfortable with at least thermal layers on. Wearing thermals in warmer (-1-10 C or 30 - 40 F) and I sweat the bag and my thermals out in sweat. Quite bulky so takes a bit of Tetris for multiday packing with a 45 L bag at least, along with jet boil, foods, reading literature (a Bible and a journal sized, about) along with multiple beers (at least three). All in all, I am more than happy to take it on adventures where I am afforded more space."

Winter car bag

"Well I’m 5’6 so bag is a little long and a leaner 175 the bag is a little tight at the shoulders but supper warm and the zipper can get caught easy but with a little finesse it’s not bad. Haven’t used it in single digit weather yet, mid teens, but I usually get pretty hot in just base layers."

Great bag used on kilimanjaro

"Used this bag on my ascent of Kilimanjaro in December. Brilliant bag, had many great nights sleep, keeps head warm and love the zips for the arms too."

Solid bag

"Haven't used it yet, but I know Mammut products are solid!"
