"This is a very comfortable shirt. However, after one use for dayhike (22 km) with a light Gregory daypack (2 kg) I see more pilling than accepable. Durability seems quite limited. For a shirt that is advertised for use in hiking/trekking conditions, this is not what I would expect from Mammut."

Lightweight perfection – exceptional comfort and moisture management

"Honestly, Mammut absolutely nailed the fabric on this one. I picked up the Tree Wool FL Longsleeve in Autumn Larice (Size L) and it’s easily become one of my favorite shirts for the trail. The color looks awesome in person—a really nice, rich earthy tone. The main reason I love it is just how incredibly lightweight it feels. It’s super soft against the skin with zero itch, and the moisture-wicking is top-notch. I tend to sweat a lot on high-output climbs, but this shirt pulls moisture away instantly and dries way faster than my pure merino tops. The Size L fits perfectly—not too tight, not too baggy, just right for moving around comfortably. Whether I'm wearing it on its own on a breezy day or throwing it on as a base layer under a jacket, it does an amazing job keeping my temperature dialed in. If you're on the fence, just get it. It's totally worth it."

Nice shirt, but with a drawback

"This is a good base layer for summer hiking (in Alaska) and is surprisingly warm. Feels good on the skin and doesn’t chafe. Only drawback is the special laundering instructions—it’s pretty intensive and I’m not sure that given that I’d buy it again even if the shirt performs well."

Good lycocell shirt, but there are better options

"Tencel/lycocell products are gaining popularity, Mammut joins in on the trend. These shirts are by no means bad, they do the intended job of being a base layer, being a blend of merino wool and wood pulp. However there are other brands like Le Bent that are less scratchy. If you are already paying a premium for Mammut gear, there are other places you can pay roughly the equivalent for and get a marginally superior product."
