Der 80 Gramm leichte Smart 2.0 ist einfach zu bedienen und kommt ohne bewegliche Teile oder Hebel aus.
Der Smart 2.0 funktioniert nach dem Tuber-Prinzip, so ist er gleichsam für Vorstieg und Top Rope Klettern geeignet.
Im Falle eines Sturzes blockiert der Smart 2.0 das Kletterseil, das neu entwickelte Hochleistungs-Brems-Insert interagiert dabei mit dem Sicherungskarabiner. Damit bietet es dem Sichernden eine optimale Unterstützung und mehr Sicherheit.

Feeding slack is super simple on this device and I much prefer using this to lead belay over a Gri gri. Good beginner setup, or…
"All the components of this kit are good quality. I’ve been in and around sport climbing for almost 20 years now and can see the value in this kit, especially when teaching someone the basics of belay.
It’s very difficult to accidentally leave the carabiner gate open due to the swing arm lock, and the orientation is the same. It’s just obvious when it’s not done correctly.
Further, the belay device (and backup) make it difficult to allow a dangerously fast descent. It’s very good in preventing panic in newbies. I also liked it when acting as belay for long periods of time as it helped stave off fatigue.
My only minor gripe is the size. It’s just big. If you’re planning g on keeping this handy on your belt while playing around for the day on the wall, I’d suggest a smaller BRD, but for it’s intended purpose, I’m not disappointed."
