The best jacket!!
"It was the first time I bought a jacket from the brand Mammut.
I’m a big fan of waterproof jackets. I own four parkas from another brand (Americans brands. . . . ) that I’m happy with, but I decided to try Mammut and I’m very, very impressed with its outstanding quality.
I’m 1. 70 m tall and weigh 70 kg. I decided to buy the Obelisk in black, size M. The size is perfect, and I can easily wear several layers underneath.
I have to say that I usually wear this Obelisk jacket with just a T-shirt because it’s incredibly warm and also very, very lightweight. I’m extremely impressed by how light it is and how warm it keeps me (10/10 for Mammut).
I’ve tested it in heavy rain and it’s absolutely waterproof (another 10/10 for Mammut).
The jacket is stylish and can be paired with any type of outfit.
I’m so happy with the jacket that this morning I bought another one, this time in clay color and size S so it fits me more snugly.
All in all, it’s the best parka I’ve ever owned in terms of quality of finish, light weight, warmth, and waterproof performance."

It's fine, but not great
"Aside from the price dropping $80 after purchasing it, it's an odd jacket. I get that it's an "urban" coat, and not supposed to be overly technical. But, it could use a draw-string at the bottom. Instead, it comes with zippers to increase the width. So it's great if you're planning on gaining weight, but not so much if you wanted to cinch up the bottom to keep the wind out. I purchased it with hopes of taking it on a trip to Quebec this winter, but it's not long enough in the body, and without the ability to snug it up a bit in the waist it wouldn't be warm enough. Oh well. . ."
