Some great concepts, but comfort fell short.

"Used this on a 4 day/3 night backpacking trip in Colorado, load was about 30-32lbs. There are some things I really like about this pack and some things I wish were different. Things I Liked: -the adjustable height of the shoulder straps, these can accommodate different size torsos & the pull tab is easy to use to make the adjustment. -the roll top has a full zipper! Being able to zip the bag fully closed keeps everything nice & secure. -the outside mesh pocket is adjustable and can accommodate a lot of items. Plus, because the mesh is see-through it’s quick & easy to search for gear. Things I didn’t like: -Unfortunately, I found that there was a bit too much padding on the lumbar region of the spine and that it rubbed awkwardly on my lower back when walking. Conversely, I felt that there wasn’t quite enough padding on the shoulder straps, and even with the load lifters, the straps ultimately dug into my shoulders. - these are more nit picky things but 1). there’s only one zipper pocket on the hip belt & the other side is just a mesh pocket & couldn’t fit nearly as many things as the zipper pocket. 2). The water bottle pockets do have an adjustable sinch cord, however, the opening is still a little restrictive & it’s difficult to cram a water bottle + other stuff into them. I ultimately think this pack would be more comfortable for carrying loads under 25lbs. Some good concepts here, but overall it wasn’t as comfortable as I had hoped."

Tested her out on Tour Mont Blanc

"The flexibility in the back is a game changer for me. I just did 64km of the Tour Mont Blanc and this pack was perfect with its adjustable capacity, spine movement and strap adjustability. Only thing I didn’t like is the positioning of the fixings for my walking poles, it made them stick to the sides of what is a wide pack. Anyway, I can only see me using the flex back feature for long hikes going forward. Bravo Mammut"
