Mammut products are subject to stringent quality requirements. Products covered by this warranty are warrantied to the original owner against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product. [Avalanche beacons are covered by a five-year warranty if properly registered.]
In the event of any material or production fault in a product purchased from Mammut or one of our retail partners, we will repair the item or explore a replacement option with you.
This warranty policy does not cover damage caused by accidents, improper care, damage caused by fire, sharp edges, such as crampons, rocks, skis, etc., normal wear and tear, or the natural breakdown of colors and materials that occur with extended use and over time. We are aware that damage of this nature does occur and, in such cases, we can recommend a professional repair service to ensure lasting enjoyment of your Mammut product.
The decision to repair, replace or provide an in-house credit for the retail price of a product under warranty shall be taken by Mammut. For most cases, to proceed with a claim, please contact us directly by e-mail at email@example.com. If your item was purchased from REI or Backcountry.com within the last 12 months, please contact the retailer directly to proceed with a warranty claim.
For warranty services provided by Mammut, please include the following information in your email:
The approximate purchase date of the product
Where you purchased the product
A picture of the product, showing the issue (Note: We have a size limit of 8mb per email for file attachments)
The US size and style number of the product. The style number will be on a separate tag (either in a pocket or next to the garment care tags) with a number in this format: 1010-10101. Footwear will have the model name on a tag or printed on the tongue
A description of the product issue

Items purchased used or “as is” (e.g. from an in-store REI garage sale) are excluded from warranty coverage.
