Why settle for one summit when you can climb ten in one single trip? Join mountain enthusiasts Magne Svare and Ole Martin Storlien as they make their way through the rugged terrain of Jotunheim National Park. Is this adventure reserved only for the daring? Watch now and find out!
In the breathtaking landscapes of Norway's mountains, two intrepid adventurers and mountaineers, Magne Svare and Ole Martin Storlien, embarked on a remarkable journey. Their mission? To connect the 10 highest peaks of Norway in one epic adventure. With the highest point, the 2,469-meter (8,100 ft) tall mountain Galdhøpiggen, reigning as the pinnacle of Norway and Northern Europe, their route spanned the entirety of Jotunheim National Park from East to West. In this rugged wilderness, amidst towering peaks and sweeping valleys, the two athletes answered the call of the wild with unwavering determination and boundless passion.
Running three marathons over rugged gravel and scaling ten mountain peaks on the way in just 3 days defies the ordinary. The adventure was filmed and directed by Mammut ambassador Martin Andersen. Their journey was more than just a physical feat. Amidst the remote beauty of the Jontunheimen skyline, Magne and Ole Martin found a deep connection to their surroundings and a profound appreciation for fragile beauty. They witnessed firsthand the disappearing glaciers, a poignant reminder of the urgent need to protect our world.
"This is a trip for lunatics with nothing better to do. There will be no mass migration!"
But as they run on, where weather shifts unpredictably and the vast distance between peaks looms large, time and space lose their grip. It's all about the present moment, focusing on every step. Everyday stress feels distant, replaced by the beauty of nature and its rules. For them, climbing these peaks and fostering a bond with the mountains epitomizes the essence of life.
