Great all rounder

"Bought this bag as I needed something for hiking and climbing. The top section comes off, which is useful if you aren't carrying a lot. Compact and doesn't get in the way if I am climbing. The rope holder strap is great, and I added on the helmet accessory for my helmet."

Great Pack

"I had a few key criteria when shopping for this pack: fit, rugged construction with attachment points for ice axes, crampons, skis, snowshoes, and other gear, and enough capacity for a light overnight trip. As a shorter, petite woman, finding a pack that both fits well and can handle the type of adventures I want to use it for has been challenging. The Women's Trion 38 checks all of those boxes. The frame is at the upper end of what fits me, but it carries well and practically disappears when I'm moving through technical terrain. It moves with me to the point that I forget the pack is there and don't need to think about it. I tested the pack on a 10-mile hike with a Class 3 scramble and was very happy with how it carried. It remained stable and comfortable on the approach and rode exceptionally well during the scramble. So far, the Trion feels like an excellent balance of durability, mountain-focused features, and fit for smaller climbers looking for a true alpine pack."

Lightweight, comfortable and holds a surprising amount

"I really love this backpack. I bought it to use mountaineering in the Alps later this year but for now I've just used it to do some hills in the UK. It's super lightweight but holds a lot! Being 5ft2 it's a great length for my body. The fit is really comfortable and I love the chest strap and the way it's adjusted - although when the pack is full/heavier, the elastic straps do mean it moves around a little bit. I also have quite a large chest so they're a bit stretched and I do worry how sturdy they'll be long-term - no problems so far, though. I did add an extra pocket to the belt loop to hold snacks for easy access, and I can't see a way to have a water bottle on my shoulder (if you prefer water bottles vs a bladder, which this backpack can accommodate) so attached a water bottle holder to the belt - which was actually super comfy and more accessible, but was a bit tricky to keep in place when taking the backpack on and off. The front velcro straps were great for holding my hiking poles and I've tested my ice axe in it and it seems to work well (but haven't hiked with the axe attached yet). I'm planning to get a raincover - I used an old one but there wasn't a way to secure it which isn't great for windy conditions. My back did get a tiny bit sweaty compared to my old backpack with a full frame, but it was worth it for how light this feels and how comfortable it was."

As a shorter climber with

"As a shorter climber with a shorter than average torso I’ve been having the hardest time finding a pack that fits. Especially one that doesn’t get in the way while wearing a harness or while climbing. This pack is it!! I love the design, how much it can hold, the organization, and how it fits. I am pretty bummed the women’s pack doesn’t have the running vest straps like the men’s, but other than that this is 10/10. I’ve been recommending it to all climbers I know and will probably get the smaller versions at some point."

Great backpack

"Great backpack, I've watched it hold up over the course of the year, and it hasn't had any issues. Ice tool clips are a nice touch. It's been touring, ice climbing and rock climbing."

Perfect for alpine adventures

"So far I love this backpack. It fits perfectly and is very spacious. The only thing I’d like is a pocket/ pouch for a phone or quick snacks."

Best Mountaineering Pack for Women

"10710 this is my go to pack for my mountain adventures. Brands like Mammut that make packs specially designed for women are winning in my book."

Held Up in Ecuador

"Bought this pack for a Cotopaxi attempt. While avalanche hazards didn’t allow, this bag held up great for a 10 day trek through sleet, rain, and freezing temps. Very convenient for mountaineering and hiking alike and several in my group stated they wanted to buy the same bag after the trip. Only thing I would add is a strap mount for easy access/storage to a phone."

"Perfectly designed for women's body, comfortable on the back, easy to adjust, lightweight and waterproof. Ideal for ice climbing, alpinism, mountaneering daytrips."
