Very lightweight, versatile and comfortable
"I'll start with the only two things I don't like because, the rest is great. DON'T LIKE #1: The front top closure is a T-post tack button. Great for jeans, lousy for outdoor pants where it's worn with a pack hip belt. Just got back from backpacking and found that the tack button was always at a 45 degree angle digging into me (it's worse when it's at it's intended 90 degree). The post is way too tall. I'll be removing it and replacing with a flat button. DON'T LIKE #2: The other is pure taste. I wish the shorts portion had a shorter inseam. That's a preference thing. YMMV. You should know that the fabric is fairly light/ thin. Makes sense for pants that go to shorts. But I'm one of the Colorado types that wears shorts when it's COLD too, so I like the pants a bit thicker. That said, I worked through dense willow thickets and young pines and pants held up great. For cooler evenings, I had a pair of silk weight long johns. With that combo from shorts to pants with long johns, I'd feel comfortable from as hot as it gets into the 20's (Fahrenheit) if I was active. The fabric is stretchy and super comfortable. I did not mind the pants-to-shorts seam uncomfortable on bare skin. I like the tapered cut. I think the 32" waist is a bit on the small side (but not too small). Mabye closer to a 31 or 31. 5. If you barely fit into a 32, take note. I do like the zippered pockets. When I'm out and about, anything in my pockets needs to STAY in my pockets. The zippers are very thin and feel solid. Time will tell how they hold up. Overall, strongly recommend. I'm 5' 11" 160 lbs and the 32/32 fit me perfectly."
