Small but perfectly formed

"This is an excellent product and I'm very pleased with it. Unlike any other airbag rucksack which I've tried, when it's on my back I'm hardly aware that I'm wearing it, as it's so light and the weight is carried high and close to the body. The main drawback is its 20L size, which is fine for freeriding but not for full-on touring when one would want to carry more bulky equipment such as boot crampons, climbing harness, spare gloves and a down layer (obviously the ice axe goes outside). However, if you are well organised with packing, it's enough for freeriding and easy day tours. My everyday standard contents of probe, shovel, skins, sunglasses in a hard case and picnic including a 500ml insulated flask fit inside easily. When one is skinning up, helmet and unwanted layers can easily be attached to the outside, and I've had no problem attaching my freeride skis for steep bootups (including up a ladder) securely and quickly. Only time will tell how durable the lightweight fabric will be but so far so good. My back got unexpectedly sweaty on a 400m skin up so I suspect it's not breathable. The only access is via a zip around the front, so if that broke due to using excessive force to try to close it with too much inside, that would be a big problem. Overall, I think it does the job for which it's designed very well, but it's clearly optimised for freeriding rather than touring."
