Soft Safe Catches

"I'm 200+ lbs and one of my regular climbing partners is 135, I can pull her up without much force. I've used products similar to this and regularly had some uncomfortably hard catches. I feel like my catches are way softer and dont jerk my belayer into the wall. The Mammut Assist has been my favorite assisted braking device to date."

Mammut Assist Excellent

"The Mammut Assist is an excellent device, it is very well made, easy to open an place the rope in. When in use, as a belayer or climber you don't know it is in the system, that is, it works extremely well in the passive mode. In the active mode it also works extremely well, I just love using it. It is a long tie since a new piece of equipment has made so much difference to safely belaying a climber, well done Mammut."

Assisted belay

"Very simple to use. Easy to open with the sliding mechanism. Additionally, it's relatively lightweight. The only additional equipment you need is a carabiner or quickdraw"

My 13yr old daughter who

"My 13yr old daughter who weighs 80 pounds can belay me at 195 pounds. Is extremely easy to use and let's us advance our climbing together."

Einwandfreie Seilbremse

Go-to device for weight differences in climber and belayer

"I did a lot of research on a lot of the assistible lathes devices. I've always been a fan of Mammut stuff, and this just continues to deliver. I'm very happy with it. It helps a lot both my wife and I when we're climbing together because we have a pretty big weight difference."

Smooth and Confidence Inspiring

"I've been using the Mammut Assist Belay Resistor both indoors and outdoors, including on sport routes in the Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska, and I've come away very impressed. My climbing partner and I have a 25 kg weight difference, which is exactly the kind of situation this device is designed for. In practice, it worked extremely well. Belaying felt noticeably smoother and more controlled, while still allowing dynamic catches and natural rope handling. The device engages only when needed, so most of the time you almost forget it's there. What I appreciate most is the concept itself. The idea is simple, but Mammut executed it very well. Whether climbing in the gym or on limestone routes in the Polish Jura, it provided extra confidence without getting in the way."

— Łukasz P. (5/5)

The Best

"The best belay assist device on the market no question. No rope drag at all while climbing. Gives a good catch without being super stiff. Easy to belay with as well. All metal and holds up well both outdoors and in the gym. The ability to clip it to the first bolt with a quickdraw or directly with a carabiner for an even heavier climber is great. I have used this with climbers significantly heavier with no issue!"

The new standard

"The fact that this device works as well as other similar devices on the market and doesn't use soft goods will make it the new standard the community will continue to use."

— Aleksei V. (5/5)

Never Received my items

"I ordered this with two alpine draws but they never arrived. Pretty sad because I was looking forward to using them this summer but I can’t use them if they never arrived."
