Reviews

The shovel itself is very

"The shovel itself is very high quality and light. The only place it has to improve would be to add a different setting of angle to the shovel head. For instance it would be a phenomenal shovel if it had a hoe mode for snow removal. This works great for backcountry and would definitely recommend!"

"Great shovel light enough for you first kit!"

— Rohan D. (5/5)

Avy shovel

"Lightweight, durable shovel. I like the T handle, some folks prefer the D handle."

— carol v. (5/5)

Solid shovel for day trips

"It's a great shovel, lightweight and handles snow fairly well. But it does not break down as well as I would've hoped, pretty clunky in your pack depending on setup. Also wish they incorporated the hinge feature on the shovel head but I've heard those aren't as durable. Overall a great purchase."

— Brendan O. (4/5)

Lightweight and very functional

"Compact, lightweight, and very functional all for an excellent price. Used it on Mt. Washington to dig out campsites, cook tent and sitting area, and reinforce the setups after storms blew through. Shovel performed just as well as burlier and heavier models for everything except compacting the light powdery snow."

— Sylvain L. (5/5)

Love this shovel

"This shovel is really sturdy, has a great design, you can move snow like crazy with it and a part of that is the extendable shaft. It’s not that heavy either so love bringing it in the backcountry to built jumps or look at some snow layers and of course you can dig some people out as well if you need to as well."

— Lukas R. (5/5)

Really light weight design with

"Really light weight design with a comfortable handle. Blade shape isn't ideal for doing precise snow pits. The orange pain chips really easily around the joint where the handle fits into the blade."

— Spencer S. (4/5)

Functionally light and robust. The

"Functionally light and robust. The serrated cutting edge on the shovel blade is effective in harder conditions. The extension and collapsing of the blade and handle is simple."

— Eric T. (5/5)

Solid shovel

"This shovel is light weight. The handle feels solid once connected, and it breaks down small enough to fit in my avalanche back pack. Used it to help get my snow machines unstuck from a tree well."

— Justin S. (5/5)

Solid shovel

"Solid shovel with a nice sized scoop. Fits in my pack easily. Bonus the color is pretty cool."
