Why we developed FLEXTRON

Mountain hikes demand endurance, confidence, and balance – especially on long trails. Traditional hiking shoes can lead to fatigue, ankle strain, and reduced energy when you need it most. FLEXTRON solves these challenges.

OK Boots

"These boots are ok, what I really wanted though was another pair of the Trovat boots, sadly no longer available. The High GTX is cheaper than the old Trovats £190 against £230 but the build quality and type is down. The GTX fits OK and I will wear them, but I’m now looking to what and where my next pair of Trovat replacements could be."

These shredded my toes. Narrow

"These shredded my toes. Narrow toe box killed me on rocky descents."

One of my favorite boots

"Used it for 100+miles on California mountains. So far so good."

Beautifully made

"This are such a lovely looking boot, the new design is very classy, a definite move in the right direction for Mammut, and of course extremely well made. They initially feel very firm and accurate in terms of fit (some my find it tight). But it’s spot on for me. Looking forward to some great hikes in them"

Exactly what I was looking for.

"Firstly, I will say that sizing was tricky on these for me. I usually wear size 10. 5/11 US. Since I wanted a bit more room in the toe box for these boots, I ordered a 11. 5 US. To my surprise in these boots my toes were touching the end of the shoe. I returned the 11. 5 and then ordered 12. 5 US instead. Not that I'm saying it'll be the same for everyone, but sizing up at least a whole size and a half is what worked best for me. I do have wide big feet btw, and while these are a bit narrow, they still feel great. Traction is great, did a bit of scrambling in them, were also super comfy on downclimbs, and they're even light enough to sprint in. I'm excited to put some miles on these for an Iceland trek I'm doing next month. I never owned the Ducan II, so I can't say how these new renditions compare, but so far, I am pleased."

Quality.

"These are to replace my old faithful Mammuts which I had for a long time and finally killed off by too many walks on the beach attacking the fabric of the boot. If these Duncan’s last half as long I will be more than pleased. Buy quality and it lasts. My old boots and these new ones felt comfortable from day 1 and never gave me a blister no matter how much walking I did. Good looking boots too."

Second best boot I've worn

"The best boot I've worn was the Sapuen - now discontinued. These are similar boots though marginally heavier and less breathable. IMO, waterproofness should not be a priority in a lightweight hiker - breathability and support should be at the top. This boot has plenty of support, but it would be a 10/10 home run if it were a bit lighter/breathable. Looking forward to clapping these things out and picking up the next gen. Along with the Sapuen, these boots are the most comfortable boot I have worn across all the big brands. My foot is probably on the narrower side."

Bequem, griffig, gut verarbeitet

"Guter Look, griffige Sohle, bequem zu tragen mit gutem Halt."
