"Great lightweight jacket so far after a few months of ownership. If it lasts and continues to perform well after a year, I will increase the rating. Only complaint so far is that the zipper tends to catch when it reaches the chest area because the neck flops down and impedes the zipper unless both sides are held up while zipping."

A decent shell
"This shell has been in the desert of New Mexico, June conditions in Montana, above 10,000 feet, and through hail/rain/ arduous conditions. Considering it survived the spotted bear alternate in the Bob Marshall wilderness, I must give Mammut some credit with a bomber active outer layer. This layer wet through completely multiple times when exposed to internal condensation from sweat mixed with heavy rain on the exterior. It’s durable, warm yet breathable, lightweight, and holds its own. Do not purchase this layer if you need something reliable in high altitude with rain, snow, or mixed conditions. It’s rain repellent for a bit but definitely not waterproof at all. After over 1600 miles on the Continental Divide Trail, I still trust this layer to perform at keeping core temp retained when I’m active and moving, just not to keep me dry."
